Taskforge project materializes
By Jeppe 5 years ago, at the start of June (Jun 7 2007 18:11)
The first physical taskforge product came into existence today and three more will be delivered Monday next week. Check out the pictures of the new product here.
In my last blog post I wrote that Pret-a-printer is over. That’s not strictly true. What I meant was that the prototype experiment is over. All of you are of course still welcome to use the designs and print them on your own teeshirts. Please consider donating if you do that. You may even alter the designs if you upload the new versions back to this site.

Last chance
By Jeppe 5 years ago, at the start of June (Jun 4 2007 13:06)
Tomorrow is the very last chance for contributing teeshirt designs to Pret-a-printer, which brings me to another issue: does anyone know a printshop that will print on teeshirts, deliver quickly, and not charge a lot? The first taskforge products will leave the forge by Thursday.
Take a look at the project page, which has been updated to accommodate the end of Pret-a-printer. It now supports paypal donations and pages for product information.

First step of Pret-a-printer completed
By Jeppe 5 years ago, mid-May (May 19 2007 12:58)
Thanks again for the teeshirts. We got a fair number and by that I really mean enough for demonstration and not more than I would know what to do with. Perfect! Go to the flickr pool to take a closer look. I tried to compose the photos so you can get a sense of the spectacular architecture of ITU in the background.
The second step of this project is to design prints for the teeshirts. That’s not over yet. In fact, we need your contribution for the creative relay. Speaking of which, it’s definitely working. Taskforge members are getting inspired by previous work, remixing or just picking up on ideas. There seems to be a sign and Internet slang combination going on at the moment, but things are likely to take new unexpected turns.
Go to the project page and check out the most recent contributions. Taskforge member Nis has just taken the relay a lot further with a design I would definitely wear - once a week, in fact. Awesome work.

Thanks for the donations
By Jeppe 5 years ago, mid-May (May 17 2007 15:56)
Thank you for the teeshirts you have donated so far. Last chance for donating is tomorrow. Remember to tag your donations if you want to be attributed (the project is inspired by Creative Commons, remember).

Den buffet ser lækker ud
By Jeppe 5 years ago, mid-May (May 17 2007 14:26)

Creative relay
By Jeppe 5 years ago, mid-May (May 14 2007 10:08)
The creative prêt-à-printer/freeshirt relay really got started last week by a contribution from Mr. Lander. He’s a graphic designer currently based in New Zealand and doing some cool special effects videos. Check out his work at his blog www.nikolailander.com. Thanks for all uploaded contribution, please send more.

About me and this project
By Jeppe 5 years ago, mid-May (May 9 2007 11:57)
I’ve just updated my member page and thought it could do as a blog post as well:
Yep, I’m the one to blame for this site. I’ve made it for two reasons. One, as part of an exam project for a course called Social Software at the IT-university of Copenhagen, and, more importantly, because creativity, Creative Commons, and free software/open source principles interest me a lot. People helping out people they haven’t even met is just too cool for words. I really believe there’s a great potential in working together in new ways via the Internet. The way I see it, the Internet really has changed these last few years. It’s not so much the technology as it’s the way so many people are connected now. So really, why shouldn’t the way we communicate inspire the way we work?
What do you think? Write a bit about your motivation for collaborating online - here or at some other site - at your member page.

Donate a tee-shirt
By Jeppe 5 years ago, mid-May (May 8 2007 16:43)
I need a number of tee-shirts, shirts, or tops for the Prêt-à-printer/freeshirt-project. I’m not asking for a huge donation; just one or two of those you never use anyway. Unfortunately, I can’t use tee-shirts with (large) prints and tee-shirts of fabric not suitable for printing so leave those at home. Read more about the project and why I don’t want to buy the tee-shirts at this project page.
Because of the royal visit at ITU, I’m not allowed to set up the collection till Friday. From Friday and for a week or so, there will be a drop-off container by the cafeteria. Download poster here.

We’ve got a Google map
By Jeppe 5 years ago, at the start of May (May 7 2007 23:50)
I’ve just finished installing this Google map at the members page. It’s not really an important feature for this purpose but I felt like trying it out. Become a member and pin your location.
Thanks to MyriamFaulkner for the Wordpress plugin.
